Prime Storage - Fishkill

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the service I recently received at your Prime Storage facility on Route 9 in North Fishkill, particularly concerning my move-out process. My initial experience with Prime Storage, beginning on August 25th, was quite positive. Michelle, whom I interacted with at that time, demonstrated commendable professionalism and helpfulness, setting a high standard for customer service. However, my recent interactions have unfortunately been an entirely different experience, severely tarnishing my perception of your company. On the scheduled date for my unit's vacating, adverse snow conditions rendered access to my storage unit impossible. Recognizing this challenge, I proactively visited the office on two separate occasions prior to my move-out date to inform the kiosk manager of the situation. Subsequently, I engaged with an employee named "Matt" regarding this issue. I explained that I had previously consulted with customer service, who had indicated a potential allowance for a two-day extension. I further clarified that this extension was insufficient given my mover's unavailability and the continued inaccessibility of my unit. My primary request was for assistance in making my unit accessible. Matt's response was dismissive, questioning the validity of the information provided by customer service. More concerningly, despite my account being paid through January 5, 2026, I was informed that failure to vacate by January 3, 2026, would result in an additional month's rent charge. This stance felt particularly unreasonable given the external circumstances preventing access. Furthermore, there was conflicting information provided regarding the facility's operating hours, despite clear signage indicating access until 8 PM, seven days a week. The rigid and unaccommodating approach demonstrated during this critical period has been deeply disappointing and has created significant logistical difficulties for me. The lack of flexibility and professional consideration in addressing a legitimate, weather-related access problem is unacceptable. Consequently, I can no longer recommend Prime Storage to others and feel compelled to share my negative experience. Such friendly service. It’s beyond anything I’ve experienced at any other storage unit. Purely divine! Michelle has a a certain “je ne sais quoi” with her clientele. My my. What a time to be alive.

Nice facility, nice staff. But the company is unfair - cost almost doubled in one year! Read the fine print!

Had to find a storage unit quickly and found Prime Storage in Fishkill. Was able to secure everything quickly and go to the location to sign documents, and setup the unit. Customer service was great and very friendly. The unit was perfect while my family and I moved around a bit until we secured our new home. Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for a place to store your items.

Prime storage workers made me feel uncomfortable, and I regret giving them my money, and they auction your stuff if you miss two payments, like people don’t have enough going on in their lives. They don’t care about people, just money, it was a completely impersonal experience.
