MyPlace Self Storage - State Line

I have no complaints about my place self storage. I love the fact that it is so close to my house, the prices are reasonable, and if payday is a couple days away from the payment due date they completely understand. They are very responsive with everything. 5 star recommend.

Alert! Please do yourself a favor as a consumer and do not get roped into renting a storage unit at this facility. The units are run down, The areas around the storage unit are unkempt and frequently flooded with water. The buildings themselves are deteriorating And the whole property is absolutely dirty. It doesn't look like it's had any care or cosmetic upkeep. The door to my unit is dirty and has debris all over the bottom of it. It's very difficult to get the door up. That's just the cosmetic part. I rented this storage unit one year ago and my price has gone from $59 to a $107. There havecbeen no upgrades or repairs whatsoever. I have made 4 attempts at contacting these people over both price increases. These people are not local and you might get a phone call from somebody in Arizona 2 or 3 weeks after you leave a message. So basically you rent the unit at a low price. Several months later you get a price increase and then of course it goes on from there. I received some lame email one time stating that the gate had maintenance issues and that's why my price was going up. I have seen not one single improvement in this property. I have only noted deterioration at this location. I have never seen an employee on-site. As soon as I can get my items out of there I am going to. This is a total rip-off. Thank you and please Ask questions before you would even consider renting from these people even at another property. Awful awful awful awful.

If I could give zero stars, I would. We went to our storage unit today and discovered it had been completely water-damaged, with holes in the roof, and the entire unit had clearly been ransacked. Every bin and box had been opened, items were overturned, and almost everything inside was covered in mold. Only a tiny amount was even salvageable. This wasn’t the first time something felt off. Months ago I noticed items had been moved, but I thought I was imagining it. After seeing the unit today, it’s obvious someone with internal access to the lock codes has been entering units. There is no way this was random. Between the structural damage, the lack of security, and what appears to be an inside job, this facility is absolutely unacceptable. I would strongly warn anyone considering storing items here.

This place sux. I got a unit online with a special offer 1st month free. At $59 a month. Only to have to pay $100 to move in. Go there and 1/2 my unit is in usable because water is flooding through the other 1/2. We call the number only to get an automated response. And no way to complain exchange units or anything. So I’m out $100 on a unit I can’t use.

Today is November 7, 2024 and I moved from Kingstree, SC to Rock Hill to start fresh. I rented a storage early this morning and when I tell you I was NOT SATISFIED! I would rate this place zero stars because WHAT IN THE WORLD! I’ve never had a storage that looks and smells like this! I literally spent my last on this storage thinking it was going to be nice. Listen guys, you can check my Google Maps account… I’ve done over 69 or more reviews on places. I’m not a newby. Do not rent a storage here! That is MOLD! The smell will get you sick! I started feeling bad after standing there for 10 minutes because I was in shock of how the storage looked. It smells wet too.
