Lock & Leave Storage - Lake Forest

Great experience! Super clean units, and very easy and secure app access to the building and storage unit. Very convenient! No more codes and keys. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and I'd especially like to thank Brent for walking me through the entire process. Excellent pricing, too. Highly recommend!

Keeping my things at Lock & Leave Storage in Lake Forest was the best experience I've ever had with a storage facility.  I've rented storage units 4 or 5 times in my life and they've usually been the same—no frills, dark environments, a 479-digit code to drive through the facility gate (in and out) and 1 employee who is either never in the office, or is there, and doesn't want to be there, all housed in the familiar but dreary orange building.  (In a nutshell, it's a half step above going to the dentist.)  Lock & Leave Storage is nothing like that. The address is a little off the freeway in Lake Forest, but it's very close to a gas station, which is adjacent to a McDonald's.  This is great if you're renting a U-Haul truck from them to move from one home to another because you can fill up the truck with gas before returning it and then get a bite to eat after a long day. The people in the office—Savino, Brent and James, are always pleasant, helpful and offering suggestions when dealing with you.  (Once they learned my preferences, they always made sure to issue me a U-Haul truck with a camera in the back.)  They keep the office clean, the candy dish always something in it, if you have to wait for a previous customer to finish, and they keep the bathroom spotless. The facility offers a mobile app that lets you press on their address to send the directions to your phone's navigation system.  The app allows you to call the elevator and lets you get inside your storage unit quite easily.  (The Bluetooth connection prevents people without accounts from entering the building or accessing storage units.)  You can also purchase (or bring) your own insertable circular lock if you want the extra protection of having a 2-lock system to protect your possessions. I found all aspects of Lock & Leave Storage to be as good or superior to the "big orange chain", but if there's any one thing that puts Lock & Leave over the top, it's the friendliness, patience and availability of their team in the office.  Thank you Savino, Brent and James—you guys are the best!

I wanted to take a moment to recognize Brent Nayen for the incredible help and kindness he showed us during our recent U-Haul drop-off. We were new to the area and unfamiliar with the location, and honestly, a little frazzled from move-in dates and the exhaustion that comes with moving. When we were struggling to back the unit up, Brent immediately noticed and didn’t hesitate to drop everything he was doing to come help us. From the moment we walked through the door, he made us feel welcome and at ease. He went above and beyond to assist us—not just with the logistics, but with genuine care and patience. It’s rare to come across someone who embodies that level of customer service and professionalism. I also will add that we left our AirPod in the vehicle and he helped secure it and return it back to us safely. People like Brent are what truly represent a company’s values and make all the difference in a customer’s experience. The team here is fantastic. I went in on November 4th and they gave me great advice when my Uhaul reservation had issues. following there advice I got a great deal even better than what I could search online and they even showed me options before renting so I could make sure I chose the right size. The staff there made everything so easy and it is very clear the facility is incredibly well taken care of.
