Right Move Storage- Rifle

A fantastic place with an even better property manager. Steve has been incredibly polite, courteous, and generous to me in all of our dealings, and maintains the place with pride.

So MOD Storage is now Right Move Storage and under new management. Our focus is customer service, security and cleanliness. Feel free to come by and tour the facility and have a cup of coffee.

They did immediately have a storage space. However, they did not abide by the online sales price attached to this review. I asked to get the sales rate and was given a number instead to call for the discount. I left voice messages at the number I was given that weren't returned. When I closed my storage account and mentioned I never got a call back for the discounted price, nothing was done on the management side to get the advertised discount. As well, be aware the locks for units are $15.99. They just hand you a lock without asking if you already have your own or disclosing the price and add it to the list of fees. Note there is a mandatory insurance monthly fee attached, as well. And if you leave before the end of the month they do not prorate for the time you are not using the storage space which is wrong (they can technically rent the unit out the same day and get double the $$$). No communication except for my plea several times to send an email that my account was closed and did not owe anything. I never once got called back at the main storage office for questions I had after leaving voice mails. My email stating that I would not be paying for the next month, a week before payment was due, and would be closing my account was never acknowledged. I got an email stating that I owed over $80 after I stated I would not be renewing for the next month which took 3 business and 2 weekend days to clear up because the regional manager was gone. I recommend Conestoga Storage or Rifle Rocky Mountain Mini Storage -- both offered prorated options, communicated, and there were no surprise fees at checkout. Attached is also an image stating the Colorado Consumer Protection Act that protects customers from deceptive advertising tactics. Trying also to understand why a storage business wouldn't already be insured for unforeseen damages that would protect the custumer as well. Why is the customer insured separately from the business? And if the storage insurance is mandatory then why wouldn't that fee be already included in the monthly storage fee, thus appearing like a tactic to increase their revenue. With that said regarding renter's insurance, I'm not entirely sure because I can't get ahold of anyone to answer questions of any kind. I hope their interests to mandatorly insure is to better the customer, truly, and not their pockets (which appears to be the case if they're not prorating customer's money for units they no longer rent). I get it, businesses make mistakes. However, what I experienced was not warranted. Still no word from management. Eager to hear back from them. And if their calls are truly monitored and recorded for quality control, I have bigger grievances then expressed in this review.

Anytime I have had to speak to anyone or ask questions, there has been a nice encounter. The manager was always willing to listen, answer questions knowledgably and cheerfully. She even replaced my lock for me when the one I bought there stopped working. I think they are doing a good job. I hope she is there for many years to come.

Howie B. This is a great place with great peeps! They have U Haul trucks and trailers right here should you need to relocate from another storage somewhere down the road and the prices are really great! Plus, they have large units well priced with lights AND electricity at no extra charge! The folks that manage the complex are very nice and will go out of their way to accommodate you! It's spacious and an easy in and out complex! Should you need to be accommodated within a 100- mile range of Rifle CO...THIS IS THE SPOT!!! Don't wait!
