Prime Storage - Union City

Prime Storage has been a great experience from start to finish. The facility is clean, secure, and easy to access, which gave me a lot of peace of mind storing my belongings here. The staff is friendly, helpful, and always professional — they make the process simple and stress-free. Everything is well-maintained, and I appreciate how smooth the entire rental experience has been. I highly recommend Prime Storage to anyone looking for a reliable and convenient storage solution.

I’ve been storing here for a while, including back when it was under the previous company, and I have to say the new ownership has really made a big difference. The place has improved a lot—cleaner, better organized, and overall more reliable. The staff is excellent: friendly, helpful, and easy to work with. The pricing is very good for the size of the units, which is something I really appreciate. All in all, I’m very happy with the service and the improvements. Definitely a solid four-star experience.

Today was my move in to Prime Storage, a little confused at first so I headed to the office and was greeted by Guillermo! He was super helpful and showed me to the elevators as well as my storage unit. Great customer service and so happy that I chose to keep my unit, because at first I thought I had to walk up those stairs. Haha! Now that was a funny moment for me.

Recently received an email stating that my rate would be increasing by nearly 60% for a 10x5 unit, to “maintain secure, clean and convenient storage”. In the email they state “We understand that rate changes can raise questions, and we’re here to help. If you’d like to speak with someone about your account or share any feedback… reply to this email-we want to make sure your storage experience continues to work for you.” I immediately responded to the email raising my concerns and requesting a review of increase. After two days of no response, I followed up. No response. I made the decision to terminate my rental, and upon retrieving my items found my unit covered in debris and mysterious liquid presumably coming from the vents and insulation, so not really sure what “clean” storage they are maintaining. On the day of termination, no one was to be found in the office so I sent written notice, pointing out the damage to my property as well as the failure of response from their team. Today I simply received a notice of move out with absolutely no other acknowledgment. The only positive experience was working with Cory upon move in.
