StorageMart - S 13th St

I had a great experience with Eddie at StorageMart on SW 63rd. He was friendly and took his time to make sure we got our vehicle storage needs taken care of. He definitely treats people with respect and was professional.

Won’t pro-rate the amount you paid for the month upon move out. I’ve had 4-5 storage units over the years and this is the only place that said “nope sorry” when I moved out the 3rd of the month after they debited my account only days earlier. Also very expensive for what I was getting. $70 / Month for an outdoor parking space under trees that were making a mess all over my camper. The facilities were nice enough. Just think that the customer service is lacking and the price point was high.

Paying more for a "climate controlled" storage unit at the 125 S. 13th St West Des Moines location. They control it alright! Freezing in the winter and hot as hell in the summer. I could have just rented a bigger outdoor unit for less money. I do NOT recommend this place. Also they are always having keypad issues and I'm not always able to access my unit. Super big inconvenience. Stay away.

Rental rates are being raised for the second time in a year . I have paid a month in advance from the beginning of the rental (almost 2 yrs) to be sure to not fall behind . This is how am thanked for doing business with Storage Mart . Seems greedy to me.

Online reservation pricing is misleading. Thought I was paying for first month of rent but nope. I got a billed 2 days later for first month rent and no email stating I had a bill due until it was late so they could charge me a late fee. Haven't even moved my stuff in yet and I'm already cancelling. This place is a SCAM. Go for locally owned storage options.
